I love being able to see the mountains from where we are in Oregon, and that everything is always so, so GREEN! I miss the rolling plains and big sky of Kansas though. And there's nothing like sitting out on my parents' farm on a summer night, with the stars above and the fireflies below...
I would agree with you!! Oklahoma has the same skies and I LOVED it so very much while I live there for 3 years! As a Military Wife I have been blessed to live in many places and currently I'm living in my least favorite for the longest period of time ;( But, I know that God is teaching me something ;)
The summers though here in WA are spectacular and the greenery is a breath of fresh air! Enjoy your Midwest State!!
Wow. I grew up in Kansas and moved to Oregon 20 years ago. Your post makes me miss those big wide Kansas skies. I love the mountains, and the coast, but a Kansas sunset can't be beat!

I've lived in plenty of other states with mountains and beaches, but never noticed amazing skies until I moved to Kansas.
