Giveaway is closed
Okay, I admit it. . . this is actually a bit late. Well, about 3 days late actually. I started blogging last year on August 6 so the actual blogiversary was Friday, but I didn't have anything to give away to all you lovely people so I waited until today to celebrate. You don't mind do you???
I am giving away a handmade by me clothespin apron. It has a huge pocket in front that you can fill up with clothespins. (It would also make a wonderful Lego-picking-up-apron or maybe a secret stash of candy carrying apron. Sadly, I don't think the pocket is big enough to hide a jar of Nutella and a spoon)
It is made out of sturdy printed cotton canvas and trimmed in handmade bias tape. It should be strong enough to use for a long time.
If you want to sew an apron yourself, I found a tutorial on this blog. I didn't actually use it because it just seemed easier to me to start cutting without doing the whole measuring thing, but it looks like a good tutorial if you don't want to just start cutting away on your fabric. There is also a similar type of apron in the A is for Apron book.
If you want to buy one, there are super cute ones in this Etsy shop.

ReplyDeleteThat is a very nice apron and I can only imagine that array of "stuff" I could put in there! All those random things I come across while vacuuming could be slipped right in there without disturbing my Hoover chi.

ReplyDeleteBesides learning to bake this year, I decided to enter some of the cooking/preserving contests in the State Fair this year, so there's been a whirlwind of kitchen activity. I'd LOVE an apron with good-sized pockets on it! Especially a non-pink-&-floral-super-foofy one!
