Something to smile about

This weekend was so super busy. It was the kind of weekend where you almost looked forward to Monday. Our weekend was filled with all sorts of fun, but sometimes there is just too much and everything that should be fun just becomes one more thing to check off the list.

Today, I have to sort through and organize everyone's clothes. It has finally decided to get hot and so I can confidently put away all long sleeves and pants. I usually do it long before now, but we often had days that were quite cool so I put it off. Not my favorite job, but it will be nice to have everything organized again.

Here is the project I was working on a little while ago. Our bathroom needed a little cheering up or maybe it was me that needed cheering
up. . .I'm not really sure, but no matter what/who needed cheering up this fit the bill perfectly.

This bath mat makes me smile every time I see it.

I found the idea here. I decided not to trace and embroider my feet onto the mat though because I do not have cute and little feet. I did stitch in the ditch to kind of quilt it all together.

It is really a good project for people like me who are intimidated by quilts, but want to try.
