The Quickest Toddler Skirt. . . EVER!

Found this adorable skirt pattern on Etsy this week along with a pants pattern that I haven't tried yet. It comes as a pdf file so it was almost instant gratification. Plus I didn't have to take a fussy baby out pattern shopping which is always a bonus.

This skirt went together with two serged seams: the waistband is serged together and then it is serged onto the skirt. The circle skirt itself has no seams. (No worries if you don't have a serger~knit doesn't fray so you can zig-zag your seams and it will be fine.)

The pattern recommends a serged rolled hem which I tried, but didn't do so well at so I zig-zagged a regular hem in place. I'm not sure if I need to practice a rolled hem more or if I can just blame it on my cheapo serger. I vote we blame it on the serger.

In less than 30 minutes my energetic toddler was jumping around in her new skirt.

Bonus: It has a great twirl factor which is so important to little girls.

You can find the pattern here!
